Daily Clubs

We offer a free Breakfast Club, where children can be dropped off at school early and receive a free breakfast! Breakfast Club is run by Mrs Milne and takes place in our Community Centre (Gordon Road) daily. As well as having breakfast, children can use the toys and DVD facilities in cold weather and are able to play outdoors in the enclosed Playgroup garden weather permitting.

If you would like to use this facility please drop children off before 8.45am as the children are escorted to their classrooms at this time. For more information, please contact Mrs Milne on 0191 2656906

3.00pm - 4.45pm

For the small fee of £5.00 per session, we offer after school care in our Community Centre. To book your child in you must contact the School Office and book a place on the morning of the day you require at the latest.

During the session children will have access to toys, computers and in nice weather be able to play in the Playgroup garden. Included in the price is a small snack and drink.

To support children with their maths and give everyone access to our online ‘mathletics’, Ms Thompson runs a Maths club, where children can use mathletics or other maths games on the computer. Children can turn up on any day before school from 8.00am onwards and will be able to get online in the ICT Suite.

Newcastle Music Service

Guitar Club is taught by the Newcastle Music Service and is for children in Key Stage 2. The lesson takes place in the school ICT Suite and children are welcome to bring their own guitar, although we do provide them for free. Children should be collected from the Main Office.

Based on an idea from educational expert Trevor Hawes, we have a Reading Club for boys to promote the love of reading! Children can search for numerous books, take part in a range of activities and build confidence and enjoyment in reading.

This club is run by Mrs Pace. Ask at the office for an application.

Children learn a range of athletic movements and have a great time practicing athletics on the playground. The club is run by our sports coach, Mr Danquah and is free to Year 3 and 4 children. Children attending this club can be collected by the school gym door on the playground.
