In (2015-2016) we updated how we assess our pupils achievement. Due to the fact that there are no longer National Curriculum Levels from Year 1-Year 6. We are currently working on assessment documents that will inform you of your child's academic level and progress.
Very soon Parents will be able to see what their children are expected to be able to do across every year group for every subject. Teachers will be assessing children throughout the year to inform parents and pupils about their current level of achievement based on evidence that children produce in lessons, books and on iPads/ PCs.
Pupils will be assessed to see if they are WORKING TOWARDS their current age group; EMERGING in their Current age group (end of Autumn Term expectation); DEVELOPING their skills within their current age group (end of the Spring Term expectation); SECURE in their current age groups attainment (end of the year expectation) or even an ADVANCED pupil, who is beginning to access the next years' learning.
Teachers will be more than happy to discuss your child's current progress and attainment with you and explain how our new assessment works.
