Our Early Years Curriculum and Approach
We want all children to be at the core of our educational offer and design at Byker Primary. We endeavour to ensure the child is at the centre of learning. Through quality interactions, children are supported and educated around physical health and wellbeing, with teaching tailed to support every child has an individual developing their pathways. Learning opportunities are active and have rich first-hand experiences through the world around them. We support our children to feel a sense of belonging in our community and develop a unique identity, which is celebrated.
Through our curriculum we have key learning principles thread through all seven areas of learning which we believe support all learners to embed skills taught and build upon skills to prepare them for KS1. These will be seen throughout our practice.
